In this area, AC also offers risk assessment services, in order to detect in advance any potential tax risks and assists in the definition and implementation of risk containment strategies, taking into account the company’s internal processes and organization.

The management and control of “tax risks” are always important issues faced by medium-sized and large Italian companies, including with specific regard to possible economic and reputational damages which may arise regardless of the outcome of legal proceedings.

It is often challenging to identify which information is relevant for tax purposes, also on account of the increasing volume of such information, which control systems have to analyze and monitor, and it is also extremely likely that those who have the information do not necessarily have the necessary tax knowledge and expertise.

AC’s Professionals support the Client, and in particular its managers in charge of tax matters and control functions, in implementing and managing an effective internal control system and in identifying information useful for the relevant analyses.

This area related to the bolstering of safeguards, defined at the international level (OECD) as “Tax Control Framework”, or the tax risk management and control system and strengthened cooperation with the Tax Authorities, requires the presence of an adequate system of internal control for the management of tax risk.
